Marleen Boonen, CEO and Founder of Methods2Business, has spent her whole professional career in the semiconductor industry. Getting inspired by leading high performance expert teams and driven by an extreme passion for design methods and innovation, she founded end 2010 Methods2Business.
Her company today is among the leaders in a new class of IP developers utilizing the latest EDA solutions and a proven system-level design methodology to build the next generation IP products for the global semiconductor IP ecosystem. With minimal effort and resources, her company builds highly customizable and verifiable IP cores supporting complex technologies like Wi-Fi 802.11 for wireless communication. The IPs are delivered with all the necessary hardware and software models needed for modern System on Chip designs.
Marleen has a very good network in EDA and semiconductors and established various strategic partnerships with leading technology providers. She can proudly say that her company is a member of Cadence System Realization Alliance, a worldwide network of companies collaborating to address the concerns of system level design and verification in modern chip design, a partner of ARM the world leader in processor cores, a spinnaker certified partner of OneSpin-Solutions in Munich, a partner of Verum Software Tools in the Netherlands and recently a Constellations™ partner of IPextreme, a leader in the commercialization of captive Semiconductor IP and the drive behind the creation of the global IP ecosystem.
Marleen is a regular presenter at international conferences like CDNLive, DAC, Bits&Chips and Embedded World. She was an invited speaker at the Forum on specification and Design Languages “FDL” 2013 in Paris and won with her team in 2012 the best paper award for System Level Design at CDNLive in Munich.
Marleen brings to her role of CEO a broad expertise in R&D and management having served for 25 years at Philips and NXP. From 2000 onwards, she was heading an innovation team responsible for building the company-wide System Level Design Flow. With her team, she actively contributed to the standardization of SystemC/TLM and IP-XACT and was a MT member of the European project “SPRINT”, the Open SoC Design Platform for Reuse and Integration of IPs. Marleen owns a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the KU.Leuven, Belgium.

Dejan Đumić was born on November the 27th 1989 in Bosanska Krupa, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He holds a Master degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad.
Dejan started his career at Methods2Business as a master thesis student designing a master I2C controller with AXI interface for the ZYNQ 7000 AP virtual platform. With his thesis, he delivered a great contribution to the development of a new design method developed at Methods2Business to enable formally proven embedded system design starting from an unambiguous HW/SW contract. The results were presented at CDNLive in Munich and at the DAC in Austin.
After his gradatuation, he joint Methods2Business as a hardware designer and demonstrated to be a real engineering talent on the development of the MAC for the 802.11n Wi-Fi technology. The design was a great success and enabled Methods2Business to make in 2014 its debut as IP provider at the DAC in San Francisco where the company had forthe first time his own booth. Dejan is now a regular presenter at international conferences for Methods2Business. Besides the DAC, he also presented yearly at CDNLive.
Today Dejan has the role architect for the development of Wi-Fi IP products. His current focus is on MAC layers for ULP Wi-Fi HaLow IP products incorporating the next IEEE 802.11ah standard. The first MAC is a intended for a Low Power, Low Gate Count IP product for a Low Bit-rate client (station) in the Internet of Things. The IP portfolio covers IPs for ultra-low power stations for battery-operated sensor nodes, handheld mobile access points for mid-size networks and high-end access points for large smart grid networks. As IP architect, he is a member of the technical core team of Methods2Business. In addition, he is the local legal reprentative of Methods2Business in Novi Sad.
SoC IP Verification Engineer
Lenard Mesaros was born on the 30th of April 1990 in Torda, Serbia. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad. Lenard started his career at Methods2Business as a master thesis student working on UVM-ML testbenches in a SystemC-based design flow for the verification of the Channel Access module of an IEEE 802.11ah MAC IP Core. With his thesis, he delivered a great contribution to the further adoption of UVM-ML testbenches in the context of a SystemC-based design flow.
After graduation, he strengthened the verification team at Methods2Business in Novi Sad where he currently works on UVM-ML testbenches for the functional verification of the new 802.11ah MAC IP Core.

Milenko Maricic was born on March 3, 1990 in Rumenka, Serbia. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad.
Milenko did his master thesis on the subject of NP problems (graph coloring) using formal verification (Cadence IFV) [2013-2016]
Bachelor degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad, Bachelor thesis on “Implementation of Shortest Path Algorithm on Memristive 2D network” [2009-2013]
Milenko has numerous awards in Physics and Mathematics in elementary and high school on national level.
His field of expertise is in Embedded Systems and Algorithms, Graph Theory, Formal Verification, Web development (backend)
He recently integrated the TCP/IP stack in SW platform of 802.11ah MAC subsystem.
After his graduation, Milenko started working at Methods2Business as an embedded software engineer. His first task was to integrate a TCP/IP stack into the MAC Software stack of our 802.11ah IP products and to demonstate the usage of it for a sensor-based application with direct access to the internet. He currently works on the creation of a test suite for Wi-Fi HaLow scenario testing and compliancy checking on both a Virtual and FPGA-based Wi-Fi HaLow platform. In addition, he works on the algorithmic modeling of a 802.11ah network in order to optimize the conection mechanisms in the software stack of a 802.11ah access point.
Senior SoC IP Embedded SW Engineer
Miroslav Drobac was born on Decembar 11th 1986 in Ruma, Serbia. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad. He did his master thesis at Methods2Business where he worked out a methodology for applying UVM-ML testbenches in a SystemC-based design flow with proven results on the receiver of a Wi-Fi™ 802.11n MAC IP.
After his graduation, Miroslav started working as an Embedded Software Engineer at Methods2Business in Novi Sad, Serbia. He intensively works together with the IP architect and plays a key role in the design and implementation of the software stack for the 802.11ah IP products that Methods2Business is currently developing. Miroslav takes maximum advantage of System-C based virtual system platforms and FPGA-based prototyping for the modeling, design and verification of the highly complex MAC software stack. Today Miroslav is a member of the Methods2Business technical core team and has recently been promoted to senior embedded software engineer.

Nemanja Kondic was born on October 26th 1990 in Senta, Serbia. He holds a Master degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad. Nemanja started his career as an Intern at Methods2Business where he worked on his master thesis. The goal of his thesis was to adopt a new methodology of designing next-generation IP using SystemC and the High-level Synthesis. He delivered a great contribution in developing the company’s new Unified SystemC modelling methodology. After graduation, Today Nemanja plays a key role at Methods2Business to design the new IEEE802.11ah MAC IP Core using SystemC and High-Level Synthesis. Nemanja is member of the Methods2Business technical core team and was recently promoted to Senior SoC IP Design Engineer.

SoC IP Formal Verification Engineer
Tivadar Mako was born on March 29th 1990 in Zrenjanin, Serbia. He holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Novi Sad. Tivadar started his career at Methods2Business as a master thesis student formally proving a Channel Access module of an IEEE 802.11ah MAC IP Core. With his thesis, he delivered a great contribution on integration of the formal verification in the company’s SystemC-based design flow.
His focus at Methods2Business today is formal verification of complex Wi-Fi IP protocols and the enhancement of formal verification methods for SystemC-based design. His current goal and ambition is to make Methods2Business 802.11ah MAC IP Core bug free.
Today Tivadar's major task is to develop a test environment and test suite for Wi-Fi HaLow scenario testing and protocol compliancy checking of 802.11ah IP products. The test suite comes with a fully integrated Wi-Fi HaLow virtual system platform and FPGA-based system. The environment and test suite are very useful in the preparation phase for Wi-Fi HaLow certification. The final product is designed to be indepedent from the Design Under Test so that it can be delivered to other providers of Wi-Fi HaLow IP products who want to assess their IP in preparation for Wi-Fi HaLow certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

Vladislav Pejić was born on May 9th, 1991, Sremska Mitrovica Šašinci, Serbia
He holds a Bacheler degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the faculty of Technical science of the University of Novi Sad.
Vladilsav did his Bachelor thesis at Methods2Business, he graduated on the development of a SystemC-based model of an Access Point to enable the validation of the MAC IP for a station using a virtual platform; the AP model is used to mimic the communication of the PHY. .
He joined Methods2Business in 2015 and is involved with the testing of the 802.11ah features in the MAC software stack using virtual platforms and FPGA boards. He is currently expanding his competence in testing of MAC SW features in the direction of the design and implementation of the MAC SW stack. His master thesis is about innovative methods for robust and efficient embedded software design and verification of highly complex Wi-Fi IP products.

Toni was born on October 20th , 1987 in Novi Sad Republic Serbia. He has the Hongarian and Serbian nationality.
Toni holds a Master degree in Embedded Systems and Algorithms from Faculty of Technical Science, University of Novi Sad Master thesis titled “Scope function implementation on power electronics emulator” [2012-2013]
Toni holds a Bachelor degree in Microprocessor systems and Algorithms from the University of Novi Sad [2006-2013], thesis on “Algorithms for Active Noise Cancellation”
